Arizona’s Summer Camp Beyond Belief

We are Arizona’s first summer camp aimed at the children of freethinking parents. Our program is based on humanist philosophy and values but is open to families of all worldviews.

We run a one-week, all-volunteer camp program each summer near Prescott, Arizona aimed at providing children an educational adventure shaped by fun, friends and free thought, featuring science, natural wonder and humanist values.

Camper Program

Our Camper Program, for children aged 8 through 14 years, is a traditional summer camp program, with outdoor activities, games, fishing, hiking and arts & crafts, but with a Camp Quest “extra.” Our programs are designed to foster critical thinking, reason, exploration of the natural world, empathy, respect and tolerance.

Leadership Track Program

Young adults, aged 15 through 17 years, have different interests and expectations. The Camp Quest Arizona Leadership Track program adds an extra layer on top of the Camper Program. Leadership Track Campers (or LTs, as we call them) get an extra level of responsibility. In addition to having programming specifically geared towards young adults, LTs organize and run some of the activities at camp, including team games and the ever-popular Carnival Night.

Volunteers

Camp Quest Arizona is run entirely on a volunteer basis. Each year we assemble and train a group of eager, energetic volunteers to staff our camp, and we’re always looking for new volunteers to come get in on the fun.
